In a recent article from Fox News, it was reported that Columbia University's campus in New York City is facing a wave of open antisemitism. Despite condemnation from both Democrats and Republicans, former President Obama, an alumnus of the university, has chosen to remain silent on the issue.

The anti-Israel demonstrations at Columbia, which have included violent rhetoric targeting Jewish students and staff, have prompted concerns over safety, leading the university to move all classes online. Democrats such as Chuck Schumer, Kirsten Gillibrand, Jacky Rosen, and John Fetterman have spoken out against the antisemitic behavior on campus, emphasizing the importance of peaceful protests without crossing the line into discrimination and violence.

The encampment formed by anti-Israel demonstrators demanding the school to cut ties with groups supporting Israel has resulted in the university extending virtual classes until the end of the semester due to safety reasons.
